Dear Friends of Mission Norman,

Thanksgiving and Christmas will be here before we know it, and once again Mission Norman will be helping families and individuals in Cleveland and McClain Counties with Thanksgiving and Christmas.  We need your help!  First we will be doing our Thanksgiving giveaway starting October 24 through November 22(or until all the extra food is given away).  This year we will be giving extra food items for a Thanksgiving dinner when people come for their regular food during the month.  Each family will receive a ticket for a free turkey (while they last), and then they will be given extra items for Thanksgiving with their regular food.  We will also be saving turkeys and whole chickens to give to families once the tickets run out.  The estimated cost for this is $7,500.  Last year we helped 710 families have a Thanksgiving meal for their family.  We expect to help a similar number this year.

Additionally, we will be helping underprivileged children with Christmas.  Last year we helped 772 children with gifts for Christmas.  We expect to help approximately the same amount this year. We have some gifts already, but we still need approximately $18,000.00. We are proceeding on faith.  If you are willing to help this cause, there are several ways you can give to make this happen.  First you can give financially by sending a check to Mission Norman at 2525 E. Lindsey St., Norman, OK 73071.  Just designate on the memo section of the check either “Thanksgiving” or “Christmas”   Second, you may donate electronically by clicking here or clicking on the donate button to the right. Third, you can bring food donations of turkeys, chickens, stuffing, corn, green beans, cranberry sauce, or other food donation to Mission Norman. Cash donations may be made in person as well.  Thank you for your continued support of Mission Norman.
